Martha’s Vineyard Catboat Sea Chantey

Sea Chantey is a 22-foot fiberglass Marshall Catboat, owned by Mark. She is a 48-year-old vessel with a long history of sailing the Cape Cod and Island waters. Mark purchased the vessel in the fall of 2012. He substantially restored her, re-powered her with a used old Yanmar 2GMF diesel, and made her fully seaworthy. She’s had a string of names through the years, named after several women and even a basketball star.

Looking for a far more relevant name, Lovewell rechristened her Sea Chantey. Sea Chantey now sports a brand new Thurston sail with the familiar sea chantey logo. This is a day sailor, an overnight boat and a fishing boat all rolled into one. Her homeport is in Edgartown.
